I’ve been making art for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I carried around an old camera that didn’t even work, simply because I liked the act of trying to frame a moment. That early interest grew into drawing, painting, and eventually selling over a hundred original paintings before expanding into photography.
I grew up in a small town surrounded by open space, quiet roads, and landscapes that became the backdrop of my creativity. After spending several years living in large cities, I realized how much I missed nature and the wide open horizon. I eventually returned home, and that move reshaped my focus as an artist. The prairies, wetlands, wildflowers, and shifting seasons of the Midwest are the foundation of the images I create now.
My photography is based on real, everyday places—trails I walk often, small rivers, open fields, familiar habitats, and natural scenes that most people pass without stopping. I’m drawn to quiet visuals, grounded colors, and moments that feel unpolished and honest.
Kolanderverse is where I bring all of that together. Here you’ll find my landscape and nature photography, along with the printed products created from those images: canvas prints, framed wall art, posters, mugs, journals, candles, puzzles, and more. You’ll also find links to my Etsy shop, YouTube channel, and Adobe Stock portfolio.
Thank you for visiting and supporting my work.
