Quality & Materials
I believe there is a quiet, incredible beauty in the things that usually go unnoticed—the way the light hits a Cottonwood County pasture or the perfect reflection in a roadside creek. My goal is to capture those moments of ‘golden hour’ magic and bring them into your home.
To make sure that subtle light and detail stay perfect for a lifetime, I use professional-grade materials and equipment.
How I Capture the Light
Every photo on this site was taken with my Canon DSLR EOS 5D Mark III [Link to Canon site]. I chose this camera because of how it handles the “golden hour” light we get here in Minnesota. It captures the fine details—the texture of the soybean fields, the reflections in the wetlands, and the subtle colors of our wildflowers—so that even a large canvas looks sharp and clear.
Fine Art Paper Prints
If you like the classic look of a framed photo, this is the way to go.
- The Paper: I use a heavy, acid-free matte paper. It’s “museum-grade,” which is just a fancy way of saying it won’t turn yellow or brittle over time.
- The Ink: These are giclée prints made with a 12-color archival ink system. The colors are deep and accurate to what I saw through my lens.
- The Finish: The paper is smooth and non-reflective, so you won’t have to deal with annoying glare when it’s behind glass.
- Shipping: I ship these rolled in heavy-duty tubes so they stay safe until you’re ready to frame them.
Gallery Wrapped Canvas
This is my favorite option for a modern, “frameless” look. It arrives at your door ready to hang.
- The Canvas: It’s a thick, artist-grade canvas that has a nice texture to it, almost like a painting.
- The Frame: The canvas is stretched over a 1.25″ deep solid wood frame. It feels sturdy and won’t warp or sag.
- The Look: The image wraps around the edges, so it looks finished from every angle.
- The Setup: I include pre-installed hanging hardware and corner bumpers to protect your walls. You just need a nail and a hammer.
Made to Order
I don’t keep a dusty warehouse of old prints. Every piece of Minnesota Farm Landscape Art is printed specifically for you once you place your order. This ensures the highest quality and means your print hasn’t been sitting in a box for months.
