Wolf Lake Wetlands Conservation
Wolf Lake in the Windom wetland conservation area is where many of these photographs were taken. Paved trails wind through the prairie grass, down to floating docks, and up to an overlook where the view changes every single visit.

About the Artist
I’ve been a professional artist since 2005 – starting as a painter of nebulas and deep space, and finding my way back to the landscapes I grew up with.
I grew up in a small town in southwestern Minnesota, always curious, always looking for something new around the next bend. After years in larger cities, I moved back to the rural prairie with a newfound appreciation for what was always here.
Now I photograph the places I return to most – the wetland trails, backroads, and farm fields of Cottonwood County – looking for the details most people drive past without stopping.
