Not everything in Minnesota is open sky and flat horizon. This collection was captured on the wooded trails of Alexander Ramsey Park in Redwood Falls – a place where the landscape drops into a river gorge, the canopy closes overhead, and the light comes through the trees in a completely different way than it does on the prairie.
These images focus on the details you find when you slow down and walk: a moss-covered trunk, a fallen tree, the path ahead disappearing into the green.
