Folly Beach from several different perspectives – shoreline views with the fishing pier stretching into the distance, a pair of seagulls that stopped long enough to be photographed, and a perspective shot taken from underneath the pier looking straight through to the other end.

The same instinct that stops me for a wildflower on a Minnesota trail applied to a coastal bird and a weathered pier on a South Carolina beach.
