South Carolina Coastal Landscapes

If I could live anywhere, it might be near the ocean. I love nature in all of its forms — prairie wetlands, woodland trails, farm fields, and yes, the beach. Folly Beach, South Carolina is about as far from a Minnesota gravel road as you can get, but the same thing that draws me to Wolf Lake draws me here too. Open sky, natural light, and the feeling of being somewhere that reminds you how big the world is.

This collection was captured at Folly Beach, a barrier island just outside Charleston, where the Atlantic coastline meets a long fishing pier and the kind of coastal light that stays with you long after you leave.
