Falls Park – Big Sioux River Waterfalls

Falls Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is where the Big Sioux River drops over layers of pink Sioux quartzite rock in a series of dramatic waterfalls. It’s one of the most recognizable landscapes in the region – and one that has personal meaning for me, growing up surrounded by the same ancient red rock in southwestern Minnesota.
