At Falls Park in Sioux Falls, the Big Sioux River flows over layers of pink quartzite, creating one of the most recognizable landscapes in the region. Watching the water move across this incredibly durable rock, shaped over thousands of years, reveals a quiet story of time, erosion, and the enduring foundation of the Great Plains.

The contrast of red stone, rushing white water, and open prairie sky creates a scene that feels both timeless and alive.
