Wolf Lake Prairie Wetland, Minnesota – Fine Art Photography Print

Late summer on the Minnesota prairie – marsh grass and cattail reeds frame a winding channel of calm water mirroring an endless blue sky. Wild rose hips glow red in the foreground, hinting at the first turn toward autumn.

Wolf Lake Prairie Wetland, Minnesota – Fine Art Photography Print

A quiet beautiful summer day in the prairie wetlands with vibrant lush greens and an endless blue sky.

Wild rose hips in the foreground add a pop of red color. A winding channel of open water cuts through dense marsh grass and cattails, reflecting the blue sky above, leading towards the trees that line the horizon in the distance.

A wetlands conservation site at Wolf Lake that serves as a vital sanctuary for local wildlife in Southwestern Minnesota.

This is one of my favorite places to visit. Paved trails run through the prairie grass, down to the floating dock on the lake, and up to the overlook where this photo was taken. Some years this view is all open water. Others it’s this, a winding channel disappearing into the marsh. The same place, completely transformed.
